Information about our Discussion
Group
We have established a restricted and secure Discussion Group that we hope will
be used to encourage dialogue about developments in the delivery of legal
services to low income individuals, both nationally and internationally and to
provide a forum for discussion of the work of the Equal Justice Library.
Go directly to Discussion Group at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/equaljustice/
Membership in this Discussion Group is restricted
to individuals who have either a professional interest in legal services
including staff and leadership of legal services/aid, Reggie Alumni, Pro Bono
attorneys, researchers, educators, and policy-makers who are interested in the development
and history of legal
service programs.
A restricted group means that the moderator
approves all requests to join. Joining a restricted group sends a message to the
moderator, who will notify you if your request has been accepted. Once approved,
you will be able to post messages to the group.
To
join/subscribe to this Discussion Group via email:
- Send a blank email to:
equaljustice-subscribe@yahoogroups.com
- You will receive a subscription
confirmation message. Just reply to this message and your subscription
will be complete.
If we sent you an email invitation to
join a group, simply reply to the message or click on the link provided
to join via the Yahoo! Groups web site.
When you subscribe you can elect to sign
in for just this group only, rather than all Yahoo groups, and you can
elect to keep your email totally private so that you will not receive
any email as a result of joining this group. |

The Discussion Group is hosted by Yahoo Groups at
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/equaljustice/,
and has the follow features:
- The Discussion Group is restricted and secure
- The Discussion Group is unmoderated, so any
one can start a discussion thread.
- Documents and Photographs can be uploaded into
the Discussion space easily.
- You can set your Preferences so that you
receive a summary of contribution to a particular Discussion in your email
box, so you don't have to be constantly checking the Discussion space to see
what's new.
- You can opt-out (unsubscribe) at any time.
- You can post announcements of events and
program activities that we can then import into the main Equal Justice Library
web site.
- You will find advertising on the header of
each page. This is how Yahoo generates revenue that enables this service to be
free. If the ads prove to be offensive and the Discussion Group proves to be a
popular and valuable feature of this web site we will install a different
application that has no ads, but will cost the Library a hosting fee.

Discussion Group, click here.
We hope that this interactive discussion will
connect individuals through the world that have an interest in the legal
services movement.
